Suurmond UK Limited is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Internal Technical Sales Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electromechanical engineering and sales, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to clients while driving sales growth.

As an Internal Technical Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales team, providing technical expertise, and delivering exceptional customer service.

You will also work collaboratively with key suppliers and our back-office teams in the Netherlands and Belgium.

  • Technical Expertise: Utilize your electromechanical background to understand and effectively communicate the technical specifications and capabilities of our products to clients.
  • Supplier liaison: Collaborate with the suppliers to communicate client needs, develop tailored solutions, and prepare technical proposals and quotations.
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients, providing technical support, guidance, and product recommendations to meet their requirements.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Suurmond UK Limited’s product range, features, and benefits, ensuring accurate and comprehensive information is provided to clients.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market demands to identify new business opportunities and potential areas for product development.
  • Internal Coordination: Liaise with internal departments, including engineering, manufacturing, and logistics, to ensure seamless execution of sales orders and projects.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including product datasheets, manuals, and technical drawings, to support sales activities and customer inquiries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in technical sales or a similar customer-facing role, preferably within the electromechanical industry.
  • Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, components, and applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to customer needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.
